Navigator, Community Health Center of the Black Hills
With an impressive four-year stint in the Air Force as a medic during the Vietnam Era, Bonnie Day has since made a name for herself in the health care industry. Currently working as a patient navigator, credentialing contact, and AR coordinator at the Community Health Center of the Black Hills, her primary responsibility is to help patients explore coverage options tailored to their unique needs and budget. In addition to this, she also manages the initial and re-credentialing process for all clinic providers.
Bonnie has prior experience working in various medical billing positions, including running a large claim center for Aetna. She also identified uninsured patients at the local hospital to see if they qualified for benefits long before Healthcare.gov.
Outside work, Bonnie is an avid gardener and has recently taken up baking in the hopes of improving her skills in the kitchen.
