Your input is requested:
The CHAD external affairs team requests your help! As we reflect on how to distribute information and reach elected officials on issues that impact health centers, we’ve decided to build an advocacy email distribution list. Anyone can join including health center staff, partners, and others who are interested in hearing about the issues impacting health centers and willing to contact elected officials as a public citizen. Building this list will help CHAD better represent health centers, your communities, and your patients with elected officials.
Today, we’re asking for your help in selecting a name for this distribution list and we would like you to sign up.
There will be two levels of participation.
1.) The first will be an email update list. Signing up means you’ll receive the latest information and action opportunities in your state and federally, on issues that impact health centers and their patients. When you sign up, you’ll have the option to choose if you want all updates or only updates on a specific issue, like 340B for example, that you’re most interested in. CHAD will only send you interest-specific information when possible, and you can decide whether to take action on any emails you receive.
2.) The second will be more of a network team for health center staff. Signing up means you’ll be invited to quarterly advocacy update zoom calls, where you’ll also receive tools to help your health center on the issues and be able to bring your ideas and questions forward. Participants of the Network team will act as advocacy champions at their health center and as a liaison between CHAD and their health center for contacting elected officials.
What to do:
1.) Vote to help us name our refreshed external affairs distribution list and network; and
2.) Sign up to join the email list and indicate your interest in the deeper engagement network team.
