DHHS National Advisory Committee on Rural Health and Human Services to meet in South Dakota

ne 8-10) in Rapid City, SD.

This represents a terrific opportunity to showcase the work Health Centers do and thechallenges rural health care and human services programs face in a rural state. One of the possible site visits is to the Horizon Health Care clinic site and local hospital in Martin, South Dakota.

The topics being addressed by the Committee are consistent with policy inquiries from the Obama Administration. That’s especially the case for integration as the Committee will focus on electronic medical records development and federal rules and regulations that hinder integration efforts.
